Why were the ribbons taken down from the entrance of the neighborhood and along Lochmere Drive? Was the HOA lawncrew instructed to remove the ribbons? I thought we are suppose to keep the ribbons up until the case is solved.
I honestly have no idea. I do know some of my neighbors have taken theirs down because they were starting to get tatty. There is no "supposed to" here. Personally, I'll keep mine up and replace it when it needs replacing until the case is solved, but initially it was a memorial and gesture of sympathy/grief/support.
Triangle Academy Preschool, for organizing and hosting the candlelight vigil
The local press, who have been nothing but respectful and kind and honored our request for privacy
Cinelli's restaurant for dinner for the family, and for us at the church last night
Chili's restaurant for dinner
Resurrection Lutheran church, for lunch and a new base
Kinko's on Maynard, for donating extra copies
Cary Police Department
Lifetime Fitness on Regency Parkway for a 2nd base, passing out flyers
Java Jive on Kildaire Farm Road for a base of operations
Harris Teeter on Kildaire Farm Road for food and drinks
All the volunteers
Who are we?
We are a group of Nancy's close friends who are devastated by her loss and are trying to help her family out in any way we can. We are not a single individual, even though the blog may look like that. We are lucky to have each other to lean on.
